Here`s what you`ll need for your Throwback Salisbury Steak with Mushroom & Onion Gravy:
Lean Ground Beef- 1 lb
Olive Oil-a splash
Onion Powder-1 teaspoon
Garlic Powder-1 teaspoon
White Pepper-1 teaspoon
Worcestershire Sauce-1 tablespoon
Salt-1 teaspoon
Mushrooms- 8oz sliced
Onion-1 medium sliced
Flour-1 heaping tablespoon
Butter-1 tablespoon
Beef Stock-2 cupsSalisbury Steak2In a mixing bowl add the ground beef, onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, salt & Worcestershire. Get in there with your hands and mix well. It`s fun to play with your food!!Salisbury Steak3Form into patties.Salisbury Steak4Slice your mushrooms & onions.Salisbury Steak5Heat a splash of olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat & brown the beef patties, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove to a plate & cover.Salisbury Steak6Add the onions to the skillet, stir & cook 3-4 minutes.Salisbury Steak7Add the mushrooms. The butter is optional but I think it adds to the richness of the gravy. Salisbury Steak8Stir & cook another 3–4 minutes or so. Season with a little S & P.Salisbury Steak9Add the flour to the mushrooms & onions, stir and cook for 2-3 minutes. We want to make sure we get the raw flour taste out.Salisbury Steak10Add the beef stock & stir. Make sure you scrape the bottom of the pan for any crusty brown bits. Ingredients
