Oh salsas, how I do love them in an obsessive addictive kind of way! You`ll just about never find less than 2 if not 4 or 5 in my fridge at all times. They`re just such a great way to add a wow factor to almost anything! This simple man`s plan to better eating today comes in the form of Roasted Pineapple Habanero Salsa. It`s spicy, sweet, has great depth of flavor, contrasting textures & is really versatile. The lucky recipient here was a simple pork loin chop that was elevated to a whole new level by the addition of this salsa but please don`t stop there. It`s absolutely amazing with chicken, fish, your favorite chips or just with a spoon.
Trust me here, you need this in your life, it`s “Rock Star“ delicious!
Here`s all you need for your Roasted Pineapple Habanero Salsa:
1 1/2 cps Pineapple cored & sliced
1-2 Habanero Chiles minced
1/3 Red Onion fine dice
1/3 Red Bell Pepper fine dice
Handful Cilantro chopped
1 Lime juiced
Pinch of SaltThe players.Heat a nonstick skillet over medium heat and add your pineapple. You want to caramelize the natural sugar in the pineapple but not burn it. Just pay a little attention here. After 3-4 minutes when you have a nice golden color flip and repeat with the other side. In the mean time go ahead and prep your other ingredients.Almost ready to put together, all that`s left is to dice the pineapple. The size should be about the same as your bell pepper.Place all ingredients in a bowl, squeeze your lime juice, add a pinch of salt, give a gentle mix so all is incorporated evenly.Not only is this just so so good but super pretty right? That`s it, you`re ready to serve!
