Aren`t olives the best! Briny little flavor bombs for your mouth! If you`ve been hanging around Chile and Salt for long you probably know my thoughts on these little buggers. I love`em! Now, mixed with a few other common ingredients they evolve from pretty great to phenomenally fantastic. This simple man`s plan to healthier eating today comes in the form of Quick & Easy Olive Tapenade. Have a food processor, this recipe takes 5 minutes to make. Pretty cool right considering the results. Spread on a crostini or use as a dip on your next crudité platter, add to a Caprese salad, make a fantastic vinaigrette, mix with a little cream cheese for your next bagel brunch, add to tomato sauce for an easy Puttanesca, the options are endless. And again, 5 minutes to make, just so worth it!
Here`s all you need for an awesome Quick & Easy Olive Tapenade:
Olives- 2 cups, I used Kalamata`s & Sevillano
Olive Oil- 1/2 cup
Sun Dried Tomatoes -1/2 cup
Capers- 1 Tablespoon
Anchovies- 4 fillets
Garlic- 2-3 cloves minced
Lemon- 1/2 juiced
A look at the players.
Add all the ingredients to a food processor. Give it a spin to your desired consistency. That`s all there is to it. Your done! You can probably make this during a commercial & get back to your favorite show without missing a minute. Pretty perfect if you ask me!
