That juicy, sticky, sweet & spicy pork goodness so popular at your favorite Chinese restaurant is incredibly simple to make with ingredients you may very well already have in your pantry. I`m pretty sure once you try this you`ll be hooked. I know I am!
Here`s what you`ll need for your Chinese BBQ Pork at Home:
Pork Loin- 1 lb
Soy Sauce- 2 tablespoons
Hoisin Sauce- 3 tablespoons
Oyster Sauce-3 tablespoons
Chinese Five Spice Powder- 1 tablespoon
Sambal Oelek or other Garlic Chili Paste-2 tablespoons
Brown Sugar-2 tablespoons
Sesame Oil- 1 tablespoon
Sesame Seeds-optional for garnish
Chinese Mustard for servingIn a bowl add the Soy sauce, Hoisin sauce, Oyster sauce, Five spice Powder, Chili paste, Sesame oil, honey & brown sugar.Stir well to combine.Place the pork loin in a resealable freezer or plastic bag.Pour half the sauce over the pork. Reserve the other half to baste. Close the bag and massage the sauce into the pork. Refrigerate and let marinate for 24-48 hours.Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Cover the bottom of a baking tray with foil. Place a baking rack on the tray & the pork on the rack. Bake for 15 minutes and spoon some of the reserved marinade over the pork. This is going to turn into that sticky glaze that`s so good. Return to the oven for another 10 minutes. Remove and turn the pork over. Spoon more of the sauce over to cover. Return to the oven for another 10 minutes to finish. Remove & let rest for 10 minutes.
